Aya Madi - Student
The co-op program has been the most rewarding experience, allowing me to apply my technical skills in a real-world environment and setting me up for success.

Krista Abdel Sater - Student
Completing my first co-op at one of the Big 4 accounting firms at 19 years old will definitely set me up for success when I'm job searching post-graduation. My experience as vice-President of Events and the Vice President of Corporate Relations in the main Odette undergraduate club will set me apart from others.... [and] going on exchange to France for a semester has taught me resilience, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity - which cannot be taught in a classroom.

Melanie St. Onge - Procurement and Information Management at the Gordie Howe International Bridge
During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse and dynamic learning environment. My program was designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in Business & Supply Chain Management, and it did so through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application. I also completed an internship at the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority, where I gained valuable industry experience. This role allowed me to apply theoretical concepts in a real-world context....Beyond academics, I was actively involved in Enactus and a newly formed club of Supply Chain and Business Analytics, Serving as VP of Corporate Relations, I developed leadership and teamwork skills, and had the chance to apply what I learned in a practical setting. This has translated into successful collaboration in the workplace, where I can contribute to team goals, respect diverse perspectives, and achieve collective objectives.

Kiefer Wright - Advisor, Public Affairs at the Gordie Howe International Bridge
The most impactful experience during my four years of undergraduate studies was my time spent in co-op. This hands-on experience had significantly boosted my confidence and expanded my professional network.... For me, co-operative education was the key to setting up my success.... My final co-op position was at Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA), the company responsible for delivering the Gordie Howe International Bridge. Having the opportunity to work on a project of that magnitude at such young age was incredible. Not long after graduation, a role in the Communications department became available and I applied and was chosen for the position. Had I not had that prior experience with the project and had the chance to showcase my skills to the Communications team through my co-op, it's hard to say if I would have secured this position. I've been with WDBA for five years now and I've had privilege of telling the story of the Gordie Howe International Bridge from the ground up.
